Volunteers

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our website. Please take a moment to explore and get to know us a little better. If you’re planning a visit, we are currently meeting on Sundays at 11:00 as well as streaming live on our Facebook page.

At VOC you’ll find people of all ages and backgrounds who love God and love people. Our members are always excited to see new faces in our services, so be prepared to feel welcomed.

As a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church, we believe God is alive and Christ will save those who turn to Him for salvation.

Please accept our sincere invitation to attend our services. We look forward to seeing you soon. May God bless you!

Our Journey

In 1995, a small group of believers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, held the first VOC worship service in a member’s garage. Shortly afterward, they relocated to another temporary venue in a vacant storefront in downtown Princeton.  The following year, God led the newly planted church to its permanent location at 185 Kirkwood Ave.

In 2016, through God’s divine guidance the Church family at VOC and Covel Baptist Church became one glorious family. In fellowship with the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptist and the Mountain State Baptist Association, our Lord continues to guide us on our journey to lead others to Him (Matt:28:19-20).

Combine your passion for learning Scripture with your desire to spend time with others who share your love for God’s Word. Our Adult Sunday school class offers opportunities to explore answers to significant questions of life, purpose and everyday issues.

On Sunday mornings our children gather to sing songs, learn about God and his Word and enjoy the fellowship of others. We offer age graded Sunday School and Youth Group beginning at 10 am.

For nearly 10 years, VOC has been providing bus transportation within the greater Princeton area just in time for the 10 am Sunday School. If you are interested in being picked-up, please call Pastor Mike at (304) 487-8876.

Covel Baptist Church and Food Pantry:
The Mission Field

Established in 1947, with the congregation dwindling to only a handful of members and with no permanent Pastor, this once-thriving Church was scheduled for closure in 2016. However, as Christ as our advocate, He would intervene. Through a series of miracle-circumstances, Covel Baptist Church would unite with the Voice of Calvary (they are sister Churches in the Mountain State Baptist Association) to continue His Kingdom work. In unison, these two small Churches (although maintaining separate buildings 23 miles apart) would become one family and through the power of His Holy Spirit the doors would remain open and the Gospel would continue to be echoed throughout this community.
